Our History

Offering life-changing solutions
for patients and providers.

Over half a century of Medical Innovation

In 1971, a visionary couple, Bob and Susan Williams, laid the cornerstone of what would grow into a thriving company known today as Medicos. The journey began under the name Peco Enterprises, a venture that quickly established itself as a premier distributor of orthopedic and ENT products in North Texas. This success was not by chance, but rather the result of Bob and Susan’s unwavering commitment to their vision: to offer not just products but solutions that would transform the lives of healthcare providers and their patients.

Bob and Susan’s guiding principles of honesty, integrity, and respect became the foundation upon which Peco Enterprises prospered, setting a clear path toward success. As the business grew, so did their success. In 1981, a decade after their first venture, they launched Medicos, a subsidiary under the Peco umbrella.

Medicos was conceived out of Bob and Susan’s dedicated pursuit of providing indispensable solutions for patients and providers. The company pioneered several groundbreaking devices, including the first Continuous Passive Motion (CPM) machine used in the Dallas/Ft Worth area, cold therapy machines, and functional ACL braces.

Innovation wasn’t limited to products alone. They introduced an industry-first service by offering free local delivery to their customers. To make this possible, they brought on board their son, Tim, as Medicos’ first employee and delivery driver.

The commitment Continues

Fast forward to today and Medicos stands tall, still guided by Bob and Susan’s original vision and values, with Tim at the helm. The healthcare landscape may have evolved since 1971, but our commitment to personalized service and top-tier products has remained steadfast. We still uphold the vision and values that Bob and Susan instilled all those decades ago, and they continue to guide us in every decision we make.

Healthcare providers continue to choose Medicos for our high-quality products, compassionate care, and unwavering support for their patients. We are proud to be a Medicare-accredited company and a licensed Orthotic Facility. And yes, we still uphold the tradition of offering free local delivery, a testament to our enduring commitment to exceptional customer service.
